Solutec was founded in 1995, as a company to provide services and products relating to technological development and translation. Many years have passed since then.

During these years, which included Japan’s severe recession period, Solutec pushed for operational efficiency, strengthening its business structure.

Solutec was founded as an engineering and translation company, however, we cut down the operation relating to technological development which was putting the company under a large monetary burden, whilst concentrating our resource on the management of translation operations, which centred around technological translation. Since then, our main operation gradually shifted towards translation, and we have now established ourselves as one of the leading translation companies.

Once we started concentrating on the translation business, we underwent a unique development progress, and our expertise expanded from technological to other areas. At present, we are providing a comprehensive English and Chinese translation services that are required at business scenes.

The above translation service is now managed by our Fukuoka Translation Centre. With regard to the Chinese translation, we have a partnership with a reliable Chinese company, and therefore are able to provide a high-quality service at a reasonable cost.

We also started providing an interpretation service, and have now become the most sought-after interpretation company in Fukuoka.

Solutec has another dimension too: We market health and beauty products made from placenta, at our Placenta Shop. Our number one product Placenta Capsule has been extremely popular, whilst other products such as Cosmetic Line also attract a significant demand.

Placenta Shop is an online shop, and you may wonder why Solutec, which has been known as a translation company, set up an online health and beauty product shop seemingly unrelated to the translation business. It is mainly a combination of different factors- that we came across a very attractive product like this placenta supplement and that we had a readily available resource in terms of internet technology we developed over the years throughout providing translation services.

Solutec has been active in the area of website design and promotion, in which we help our clients’ websites to come at the top of the online search result list using search engines. We set up separate divisions specifically for these purposes: Fukuoka Alpha for website development and Kyushu Unique Media Office for advertisement. These divisions had existed before Placenta Shop came into existence, and had supported us in providing our translation services in the area of information technology (IT).

Furthermore, Solutec is also active on English education, as seen at English Conversation School in Fukuoka, concentrating on this region that is rapidly growing at the moment. We will also be utilising our IT technologies such as homepage design and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in expanding the business in this area, with internet becoming an increasingly major communication tool.

Our core business, the translation business, operates on the basis that we hire people who are smart, enthusiastic and trustworthy. With the help of such dedicated staff, we have been able to expand our business into various other areas, as for instance demonstrated by our new interpretation service. We are also facilitating public relations activities such as mail magazines in which we report on translation-related topics from our on-ground experiences.

In addition, we also developed a partnership with a separate translation company in order to be more cost-effective and competitive in the area where translation is relatively fixed and standardized, such as family register documents. Solutec is now the leading translation company in this area.

Lastly, Solutec continues to expand its business, centring around our strength, the translation business. Solutec’s newly developed businesses include a support operation for people who wish to live abroad. For this, we also have an ample resource of skills relating to translating the necessary family register documents as well as other relevant knowledge. Our latest developed area is environmental consulting, and we are excited about these new opportunities!
